Day 1: Arrive in Casablanca

On the first day of our 12 days tour from Casablanca. Upon your arrival at Casablanca’s Mohammed V airport, we will greet you and drive you to your accommodation to relax, depending on your arrival. It’s possible to visit the Hassan II Mosque, overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca, Rabat and Chefchaouen

After breakfast at your hotel,. We will start our tour by visiting the spectacular Hassan II mosque. It’s the second-largest religious building in the world and is open to non-Muslims. Our 12-day tour starts in Casablanca. It goes to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. In Rabat, you will visit the magnificent Kasbah of Oudayas. Day 3: Chefchaouen sightseeing tour

After breakfast in your hotel, we will start exploring Chefchaouen (known as the blue city). It is a small, charming, clean, and fresh town. You’ll stroll around the old Medina with its restored kasbah. Plaza Utta Hammas, the square at the heart of the town, is a perfect place to relax.

Its steep, narrow cobbled streets and white-washed walls have blue doors and windows. The mountains as a backdrop make Chefchaouen a great place for fascinating pictures. After lunch, you will see the natural spring water of Ras El Ma. Unlike other parts of Morocco, this town was occupied by Spain.

Day 4: Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknes – Fes

The trip today will continue by leaving Chefchaouen. Then we will cross the Rif mountains to arrive at the ancient Roman town, – Unesco World Heritage Site. Also, we will discover its mosaic floors, basilica, temple, and triumphal arch.

Then, we continue to Meknes. There, you will see the huge Mansour gate. You will also see the Granary, the Swani Basin, the old medina with its souks, and Lahdim Square. You can relax in one of its cafes. Later In the late afternoon, we set off for Fes.

Day 5: Fes sightseeing tour

Today our Fes sightseeing will start with a local guide. We will visit the outside and inside of the Medina. First, the outside city includes the Royal Palace Gate and the Jewish Quarter, “Mellah.”. They date to the 14th Century. You will also visit the Ceramics Cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts.

Afterward, you will cover the most important sites inside the medina with cultural and historical interest, including the superb architectural masterpiece of Bou Inania Medersa, Blue Gate, the Karaouiyine Mosque, the Big Chouara Tanneries, Madrasa Seffarin, where people work on metal and make beautiful things (lamps, teapots, etc.), and other decorated architectural masterpieces like Attarin Medersa and the Neijarin Fountain.

Day 6: Fes, Ifrane, Midelt, Erfoud and Merzouga

First, we will see the lake of Merzouga. It is home to exotic birds. Then, we will head to the middle of the Sahara desert. Nomads and their animals still live a traditional life there.

We will sip a cup of tea with them and see how they live. Afterward, we take the route where Ralley Paris Dakar used to race. Then we get to the Mifis mines that France once exploited. It’s time to visit them.

We continue by heading to Khamlia village. It’s inhabited by black Berber people from Mali, Sudan, and so on. We will have a chance to listen to their music and dance. Lunch in the village (Berber Pizza). Then, we set off to visit an impressive oasis on the edge of sand dunes before we ended our day in your hotel.

Day 8: Merzouga, Rissani, Todra Gorges and Dades Valley

Today, we’ll leave the majestic Merzouga desert and go towards the city of Rissani. It was once a major stop on the Saharan-caravans route. If we time it right, we can visit the souk, the region’s largest. It’s held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. We then set off to Erfoud – a fossil town. Here, you will see stalls selling crystals and precious stones as well as fossils. The workshop using Marmar is open to visitors.

We then continue to Dades Valley. We pass through villages such as Mallaab, Tinjdad, and Toroug. Later, we arrive at Todra Valley. It is a green valley surrounded by mud villages and mountains. We drive for 30 minutes and get to Todra Gorges. They are a narrow vertical passage with cliffs 300m high. The cliffs rise on each side. The Gorges are a popular destination for lovers of climbing.

After lunch in the town, continue to Dades Valley. There, you will see the rock formation called ”monkies fingers”. You will also see beautiful mud kasbahs. Overnight in a hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 9: Dades Valley, Ouarzazate, Ait Benhaddou, Marrakech

They are made into rosewater or sent to perfume makers. The Festival of Roses is held here every May. The small town of Skoura is surrounded by thousands of palm groves. The most beautiful kasbahs in southern Morocco are here. Our next stop is Ouarzazat, the “Hollywood of Morocco.” It has the biggest cinema studios in Morocco. Then, we’ll visit the most famous, filmed, and photographed kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. It’s a Unesco World Heritage site. We’ll have free time to visit it and have lunch in the village.

After, we head to Marrakech via the high Atlas mountains (2260 m). We will admire the great mountain views. We will also see the unique Berber villages on the mountain’s sides. Arrive in Marrakesh in the evening. Overnight in a riad in the heart of Medina.

Day 10: Marrakech sightseeing tour

After breakfast, you will start your city tour. You will explore Marrakech (the red city of Morocco). The guide will make sure that you see the most important spots. They have a historical and cultural interest. These include the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia mosque, and the Saadian tombs. There’s also the Ben Youssef Koranic School and Morocco’s largest traditional souk.

Day 11: Essaouira day trip from Marrakech

After breakfast, we will travel to Essaouira. On the way and since this is the region of Argan trees. We may see many goats climbing trees to eat Argan nuts and leaves. Moreover, we visit a Women’s Cooperative of Argan oil. You will learn about the benefits and uses of the oil. These range from cooking and cosmetics to medicine.

After several stops on the way. we’ll arrive at this walled city in about 3 hours from Marrakech (Essaouira). A beautiful white town located on the Atlantic Ocean. We will start our explorative day by visiting the ramparts called Skalla Fortress. Then walk inside the narrow alleys of the Medina UNESCO World Heritage Site. Besides beautiful arts and crafts including objects carved of local Thuya wood. Lunch in a Moroccan way, freshly bought fish ”cooked to order.”.

Essaouira also known as the ”City of the Wind,” attracts surfers from different parts of the world. Essaouira was occupied by the Romans, Phoenicians, and Portuguese. Thus, there is a big influence noticed in its architecture. It is a small town with much history. In the afternoon, we will take the road back to Marrakesh. Overnight in your riad or hotel.

Day 12: Marrakech – Transfer to the Casablanca airport
